  • Start with genuine vacancies and documented capability needs.
  • Recruit locally where that is required before looking further afield.
  • State salary, location, hours and conditions clearly and up front.
  • Verify the employer and role meet the relevant immigration requirements.
  • Use authorised immigration specialists wherever advice is required.
  • Pay the recruitment costs that cannot lawfully be passed to candidates.
  • Provide settlement and cultural onboarding information to new hires.
  • Schedule 30, 60 and 90-day welfare reviews once someone starts.
